Top European ports body executive jumps ship

December 19 - Patrick Verhoeven is to leave his role as secretary-general at the European Sea Port Organisation (ESPO). He will be joining another Brussels-based maritime industry lobby, the European Community Shipowners' Association (ECSA).

After 13 years at ESPO, Verhoeven will succeed the retiring ECSA secretary-general, Alfons Guinier, in the middle of 2013.
