UTC targets chartering market

August 3 - UTC Overseas has established a new global chartering group, and appointed Bremen, Germany based Andreas Walter as its director of global chartering.

UTC executive vice president Marco Poisler explained that the new group is designed to better manage its expanding global chartering and project/breakbulk pricing, as well as provide consultancy services to help its customers navigate the often complex charter process.

Poisler and UTC global chief operating officer Mirko Knezevic will serve as executive management advisors to the global chartering group.

Other group members include: Boye Hansen, the company's Latin America based chartering director; Shashi Bahl, director of marine supervision; and chartering manager Oktay Bayramcavus.

 

The new group will be headed up by Andreas Walter.
