Valtonen joins Blue Water

September 2 - Erkki Valtonen has taken over the role of Blue Water Shipping's country manager for Finland from Henrik Mahlberg, who has been in charge of this area since 2013.

Valtonen has over 20 years' experience in transport, logistics and sales, and will work closely with Mahlberg to ensure a smooth transition phase.

Mahlberg will continue to be responsible for business development in the Nordic countries and act as key account manager for several clients in Finland.

Poul Aarre, who is responsible for Blue Water's general cargo activities in the Nordic countries, said that this appointment was a step towards strengthening the company's position in Finland, where he says the market is experiencing growth.
