GAC names South American head

May 18 - GAC North America has appointed Carlos Arrieta as regional commercial director, oil and gas in South America.

Arrieta, who most recently served as commercial director, oil and gas for GAC North America - Logistics, will be responsible for developing the logistics provider's network of agents and general cargo business throughout the region.

Bringing with him over 40 years of industry experience, Arrieta joined GAC in 2010 when the company launched its oil and gas activities in the USA.

"GAC maintains a strong foothold in the region and this move is key element of our long-term strategy to support our oil and gas endeavours throughout the Americas," said Lars Heisselberg, group vice president, Americas.
