Notus secures Duqm contract

Notus Heavy Lift Solutions has been awarded a three-year contract to deliver lifting, transportation and consultancy services at the Duqm Refinery project in Oman.

As part of the contract, Notus will carry out due diligence on all project-related lifting and transportation proposals to assess safety and technical feasibility. Engineers will also assess whether the proposals comply with regional and international standards, as well as industry best practice.

Several consultants from Notus will oversee all lifting and transportation activities at the project site.

James Mohammed, head of operations for the Middle East at Notus, said: “Being awarded this contract is a significant milestone in our entry into the Middle Eastern market.

“Notus will establish a local entity to deliver our services to the project and look to explore what in-country value it can add throughout and beyond the duration of the contract.”
