OOG shipment departs Dubai

Charles Kendall Ayezan has coordinated a shipment of ten pressure vessel units at the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai.

The out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo was loaded onto five 40 ft flatracks for export to Spain.

Charles Kendall Ayezan explained: “Many challenges arose throughout the OOG shipment, but the project was supervised and managed by two of our very capable staff with great care and precision.

“The team kept a close eye on the loading and lashing onto the flatracks, and ensured surveyors certificates were provided throughout the process as per shipping line regulations. Careful planning of truck arrivals at the place of loading was required, and it was essential that the trucks arrived in the correct order to ensure safe lifting.

“The team were on a tight schedule, and last minute doubts on cargo readiness meant it was a race against time to meet the vessel cut off time.”

Despite a number of issues and an extremely tight time frame, Charles Kendall Ayezan completed the export on time.
