Straightpoint partners with Dutest in UAE

Lifting equipment supplier Dutest will distribute Straightpoint’s range of load cells throughout the UAE.

Saravanan Thangavel, regional manager of Dutest in UAE, said: “We already work closely with Crosby Group and receive excellent support from them. Coupled with the proactivity of Straightpoint representatives, it made business sense to add its products to our extensive stocks of lifting and rigging gear.”

HLPFI readers will recall that that Crosby Group acquired UK-based Straightpoint during January 2019.

Marcel Tabuteau, area sales manager at Crosby, commented: “We are still in the relatively early stages of the previous supply agreement with Dutest so its recent adoption of Straightpoint technology is testament to the strength of partnership we have been able to forge even over the past two years.

“The Straightpoint range is more advanced than alternatives on the market and it’s evident that greater investment has been made in product development.”

HLPFI reported in March that Straightpoint launched its Bluelink load cell that utilises Bluetooth technology. The Bluelink range is designed for customers that prefer to use mechanical force measurement products, but want the option of reading data at a distance of up to 100 m on an iOS or Android smartphone.

Currently, the Radiolink plus is Straightpoint’s best-selling product; when rigged with Crosby shackles the range can weigh and monitor in capacities from 1-500 tonnes.
