Albacor's move to Miami

June 30 - Albacor Shipping's Banning, California office handled the shipment of a heavy transformer from Savannah Port to Miami, Florida.

Albacor Shipping USA, a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) says that the transformer, which weighed 220 tonnes, was moved from Savannah to Jacksonville on the CSX, a Class 1 railroad, and from Jacksonville to Miami on the FEC railroad.

The cargo was offloaded at a rail siding and transported by platform trailer to the Florida Power & Light substation, where the unit was set on the foundation by jack and slide method.
