Berard doubles up

May 2 - Berard has transported a 67-tonne boiler from Mississippi to Nevada, USA utilising a 12-axle Trail King specialised trailer and a Peterbilt tractor.

The cargo, which measured 36 ft x 17 ft x 16 ft (10.9 m x 5.2 m x 4.9 m), was loaded onto the trailer and transported 2,775 miles (4,466 km).

In a separate project, Berard moved a 260-ton (235.8- tonne) Breaux Brothers support vessel, the Fast Lion, from the fabrication yard into the Bayou Teche river in Louisiana, USA.

The vessel, which measured 205 ft (62.5 m) in length and 33 ft (10 m) in width, was transported using a Peterbilt prime mover, a 75-ton (68-tonne) steering dolly, an eight-axle custom rear dolly and three winch trucks.
