Cranes arrive in Brownsville

BBC Chartering’s multipurpose vessel BBC Asia has delivered two mobile harbour cranes to the port of Brownsville in Texas.

The Brownsville Navigation District ordered the Konecranes Gottwald Model 6 mobile harbour cranes in June 2019 to increase on-dock lifting capacity.

The cranes will handle a variety of cargo including breakbulk, dry bulk, heavy project cargo and steel products.

Standing 150 ft (45.7 m) tall, each crane has a maximum outreach of 167 ft (50.9 m).
