Scott-Macon expands with Demag

USA-based Scott-Macon Equipment has placed an order with Terex for two Demag AC 220-5 all-terrain cranes, in addition to its existing order of an AC 160-5 and oneAC 220.5.

 

The 245-ton (220-tonne) capacity Demag AC 220-5 all-terrain crane has a boom length of 255.9 ft (78 m), which can be extended to 324.8 ft (99 m) with boom extensions.

The all-terrain model features a single engine concept and a motor management system designed to reduce operation and maintenance costs, as well as all-axle steering and independent rear axle steering.
