STS cranes arrive in Charleston

Three ship-to-shore (STS) cranes have arrived at South Carolina Ports Authority’s (SPCA) Charleston Harbor on ZPMC’s heavy lift vessel Zhen Hua 28.

The cranes will remain at the Columbus Street Terminal for several days before being transported to the Wando Welch Terminal where they will be assembled and commissioned ready to start work in 2020.

SCPA will receive four additional STS cranes next year as the port continues its modernisation efforts.
