Two new Cargolux flights bridge continents

October 19 - Cargolux is introducing two new flights that are bridging continents faster than ever before claims the all cargo airline.

Flight CV 8923 starting today is one of the company's longest routings with a total of 75 block hours and 10 sectors, combining Asia-Transpacific with USA-Australia-USA services.

CV 8923 is operated every Wednesday evening at 19:00 out of Luxembourg, arriving in Hong Kong at 16:00 the next day, then flying on to New York the same day at 23:45 and Chicago on Friday at 03:00. This flight will then leave the USA and continue to Sydney, reaching the Australian metropolis at 15:40 on Saturday before flying back to the USA, arriving in Los Angeles the same day at 14:30 and in Chicago at 22:25. The flight then returns to Luxembourg on Sunday at 14:15. This new connection is the first USA-Australia-USA service offered by Cargolux to its worldwide clients.

Additionally, on 22 October 2011 Cargolux will launch a new flight that connects the USA with Africa's west coast directly. CV 7306 departs Luxembourg on Saturday afternoon at 14:40, flying east to Singapore and Hong Kong, and arrives in both cities the next day at 11:15 and 17:30 respectively, before flying to Chicago with same day arrival at 21: 55, while New York and Houston are reached on Monday at 03:00 and 08:15 respectively. From there CV 7306 flies across the Atlantic, arriving in Lagos, Nigeria, at 05:15 on Tuesday before continuing to Accra in Ghana where it lands at 07:05. The final leg of this flight returns to Luxembourg the same day at 18:30.
