Hammer time for EMS

May 30 - EMS Vostok has transported a hammer mill shredder from Bologna, in Italy to Karaganda in Kazakhstan.

The machinery, which weighed 62 tons (56.2 tonnes), was collected from Bologna and transported to Kiel, Germany by truck where it was loaded onto a ro-ro ferry to Klaipeda, Lithuania.

From Lithuania the hammer mill shredder, which measured 8.5 m x 2.8 m x 2.8 m, was transported by rail to Karaganda. For the 4,000 km rail journey, EMS paid close attention to the consignment's offset centre of gravity.

EMS Vostok, established in January 2016, specialises in transport to Russia and its neighbouring countries and is part of the EMS-Fehn-Group.
