January 15 - Saga Fortune - a 200 m long 56,023-dwt open box hold vessel - delivered late last year by Oshima Shipbuilding of Japan to Saga Shipholding AS of Norway, has completed its maiden voyage.

That maiden voyage saw the ship, which is operated by Saga Forest Carriers, sail from Kaohsiung, Taiwan to Ulsan in South Korea; then on to Los Angeles and San Francisco, USA to discharge steel.

The ship unloaded 3,693 tonnes of steel products at the Port of Vancouver before making other Columbia River stops and ultimately travelling to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Saga Fortune then continued onwards to Europe with bulk and breakbulk cargoes.
