AAL has transported an 85.3 m-long yacht hull from Humen, China to Henderson in Western Australia, on board the 19,000 dwt S-Class multipurpose vessel AAL Dampier.

The loading, stowage and discharge operation was carefully planned by the crew of AAL Dampier and the carrier’s engineering team. The ship’s cranes – which have a maximum lifting capacity of 700 tonnes in tandem – hoisted and positioned the hull onto the vessel’s 1,584 sq m weather deck.

The unit will form part of a 1,550 dwt super-yacht, which will include a helicopter pad, eight  ensuite cabins across five decks, plus further accommodation for approximately 21 crew members.
