Aertssen Group acquires ADM Team Heavy Weight

Belgium’s Aertssen Group has strengthened its position in the heavy lift market with the acquisition of ADM Team Heavy Weight.

ADM, which has two decades of experience in the transportation of heavy and oversize cargo, is situated next to the heavy ro-ro quay at Westerlo on the Albert Canal in Belgium.

Aertssen Group intends to leverage that strategic location to expand its presence in the market. “The extensive network of international customers also ensures that a further international expansion in exceptional transport is within reach,” said the company.

Among other aspects of its growth plan is the construction of a 14 ha logistics centre for construction and agricultural machinery at the Waasland Logistics Park. Aertssen Group already has a trimodal terminal covering 10 ha in the port of Antwerp.
