August 16 - London-based Air Charter Service has provided significant lift of aid to victims of the Pakistan floods through a range of aircraft types secured by its global network of offices.

Amongst other aircraft, ACS London has operated an AN12 carrying supplies from Spain into Islamabad and the company's Dubai office flew in 90 tonnes of shelter kits on a B777 from the Middle Eastern hub. 

Meanwhile, Chapman Freeborn Airchartering has airlifted an initial 800 tonnes of relief cargo to Pakistan on behalf of governments and international aid agencies, utilising IL-76, IL-96, AN-12, A300, B777 and B747 freighters to deliver emergency supplies including shelter, drinking water, food, medical supplies and relief vehicles.

 

14 separate flights into Karachi, Peshawar, Islamabad, Multan and Sukkur have been routed from various airports in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The region's worst flooding in 80 years has already affected over 14 million people and killed 1,600, according to the United Nations.
