Volga-Dnepr inks BRI agreement

Russia's Volga-Dnepr Group has signed a framework agreement with China’s Henan Airport Group and Zhongyuan Asset Management to strengthen their cooperation through the creation of a trans-Siberian air bridge.

Aleksey Isaikin, president of Volga-Dnepr Group, said: “This signed agreement is a commitment to transition the long-term cooperation between Volga-Dnepr, Henan province in general, and Henan Airport Group in particular, to a new level.”

Isaikin added that the cooperation will make a notable contribution to strengthen the cooperation between Russia and China, within the scope of the Belt and Road initiative (BRI).

“The potential advantages of Zhengzhou were obvious to us right from the beginning,” said Isaikin, “notably its advantageous geographical location and the existence of the Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone, which boasts a positive development trend.”
