April 25 - Bowhead Transportation Company and Crowley Maritime Services have formed a join venture to provide maritime services in the Alaskan Arctic.
The new venture will trade under the name of UIC Bowhead-Crowley.
Bowhead Transportation Company has provided common carriage services for the coastal communities of Alaska for 30 years. Crowley has delivered marine transportation, energy industry support and petroleum distribution services in the region for over 60 years.
The partnership will support the logistical needs of oil and gas, mining, EPC and construction companies operating in Alaska.
