November 29 - Effective January 1, 2011, Denmark's United Nordic Shipping and Singapore's Keystone Logistic Services will enter into an alliance to be called UNS (Asia) covering commercial and operational activities in the Asia, India and Oceanic regions.

HLPFI readers will recall that United Nordic Shipping was established in September as a joint venture of two Danish lines: Thor RederiSvendborg and Rederiet Otto DanielsenVirium. See

Soeren Andersen, CEO of United Nordic Shipping in Denmark says: "To have our own set-up in Asia was part of the original plan for United Nordic Shipping, and we are very happy to team up with Keystone which is a very professional and respected player, and which has a huge network in Asia from which we 
will benefit immediately."

At Keystone, director Masumi Matsukawa adds: "Our Alliance will give us a very strong platform which will further enhance our scope and benefit our customers."
