October 8 - Aqualis Offshore has opened a new office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - the 14th country the offshore marine and engineering consultancy has entered since its establishment in 2013.

The office will provide the full range of Aqualis Offshore's services with support from other group offices. Its initial focus will be on transportation and installation, marine warranty services and engineering.

"Malaysia holds substantial proven oil and gas reserves from its offshore fields. There are a lot of activities offshore the Peninsular basin in the west and the Sarawak and Sabah basins in the east. We have already had numerous requests to support existing clients operating offshore Malaysia, and having an official presence in Kuala Lumpur will facilitate servicing all existing and new clients in Malaysia more efficiently," explained Phil Lenox, director - Asia Pacific, Aqualis Offshore.

HLPFI reported on September 4 that Aqualis has opened a new office in Qatar.
