April 19 - The Baltic Air Charter Association (BACA) has seen its membership grow by 15 percent in the last year - and it has appointed three new council members.
"Traditionally our membership has been mostly European, but we are now also signing up more people from further afield, including Dubai, the US, the Philippines, Australia and Kenya," says Chairman Dick Gilbert. "It shows that our reputation continues to grow and that a wide range of people involved in the air charter market appreciate the benefits of BACA membership."
The three new council members for 2010-2011 are: Tony Coe, Aviation Complete Ltd; Martin Lener, Tyrolean Jet Services and Volker Meissner, Aviation Charter Ltd.
BACA, established in 1947, represents air charter brokers and others involved in the commercial aviation industry for both passengers and cargo including airports, airlines, business aircraft operators, handling agents, aviation lawyers and consultants.
"As recent events have shown, you can never predict when you might need to charter an aircraft," says Mr Gilbert.
