Barrus Projects has coordinated the delivery of equipment for the Rooppur nuclear power plant project in Bangladesh.

The equipment included two deaerator tanks, which measured 17.55 m x 4.1 m x 4.38 m and 18.65 m x 4.1 m x 4.38 m. They weighed 80.5 tonnes and 88.6 tonnes, respectively.

The equipment was exported via the port of Novorossiysk, Russia, and delivered to the port of Mongola, Bangladesh. From there, the cargoes were unloaded and transported to the nuclear power plant construction site.

Due to low water levels in Bangladesh, an alternative berth had to be constructed 100 km from the Rooppur site.

The road transport to the project site included paramilitary and police convoys, said Barrus.
