September 20 - Famous Pacific Shipping Lanka (FPS Sri Lanka) has been appointed as agent by Bertling Logistics India to offer wide-ranging point-to-point project cargo coverage to and from Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
FPS Sri Lanka is a member of the Famous Pacific Shipping Group, the fast expanding Asia-based NVOCC and freight services supplier.
FPS Sri Lanka chairman and managing director, and member of the global FPS Advisory Committee, Gihan Nanayakkara says: "We have a proven track record in the handling of project cargoes and look forward to working asBertling Logistics' agent in this vital market to make this important agreement a success."
Recent projects handled by FPS Sri Lanka include the construction of the Oluvil Port project as well as the 300MW combined cycle power station, being constructed on the west coast of Sri Lanka for West Coast Power (Pvt) Ltd, an affiliate of the largest power company in the country.
