May 8 - California headquartered crane dealer, Bigge Crane and Rigging, has added a Kobelco CK2750G crawler crane to its growing fleet.

Bigge used the Bauma 2013 conference and exhibition in Munich to purchase the new Japan-built crane. The 275-tonne crawler is one of Kobelco's newest models, built with smaller dimensions than other cranes in its class to improve manoeuverability. Along with a nested boom, an axle extension adapter allows for the axle to be stored with the crane for transport, making transport cheaper and easier. According to Kobelco, everything about the CK2750G has been engineered to conserve energy, reducing its environmental footprint.

On April 25, HLPFI reported that Bigge Crane and Rigging also used Bauma 2013 to acquire four Liebherr LR1300SX crawler cranes (http://tinyurl.com/bw6zobp).
