July 3 - Joyce Bliek is appointed director for breakbulk at the Port of Rotterdam Authority, writes Louisa Beckett, adding to her existing responsibilities as head of the ports container department.
The port authority states that her aim is to further build upon the brand of Breakbulk Rotterdam, thus making sure that both the breakbulk and container sectors stay strong and successful in Rotterdam. With more breakbulk moving in containers and on deep sea container line services, the port's goal is to maximise the synergies and opportunities between the two market segments.
