Blue Water BREB wins Vestas deal

July 10 - Blue Water Shipping has signed a long-term cooperation agreement with wind turbine manufacturer Vestas, to provide services in Cuxhaven, Germany.

Blue Water Shipping's joint venture with Bremer Reederei E&B (BREB) - Blue Water BREB - will handle the daily operations at Cuxhaven, which will include stevedoring, terminal handling, coordination of port calls and loading of truck.

Blue Water BREB will work in close cooperation with the local company Ambau for the use of cranes and a storage area.

According to Moritz Zimmermann, head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) transport at Vestas, Cuxhaven will serve as a gateway into Germany and the German market.
