December 3 - After 30 years, the Broekman Group is saying farewell to both its Car Terminal and the Broekman Automotive Division, which have both been acquired by C.RO Ports.

All the staff and customers of the Broekman Automotive Division will be transferred to the C.RO Ports organisation in a move that Broekman Group ceo, Raymond Riemen, describes as 'a logical next step' of a single-focus terminal that only offered a limited synergy to the rest of the group.

The Broekman Group was established over 50 years ago at the port of Rotterdam, and has since grown to become a full-service logistics company with offices in the Netherlands, China, India, Singapore, Belgium, Poland and the Czech Republic. Broekman specialises in forwarding and shipping, warehousing and distribution and breakbulk terminals.

Recent acquisitions in the chemical logistics industry, warehousing and the sales of company divisions have been part of the Broekman Group's development, of which one was the sale of the group's own inland shipping company in the past.
