March 28 - A leading Malaysian shipbuilding and chartering group has ordered two 100-tonne active heave-compensated (ACH) offshore cranes from Finnish equipment manufacturer Cargotec.
The same Malaysian company placed an identical order in 2012.
The new cranes are destined for newbuild offshore support vessels currently under construction. The cranes are scheduled for delivery in March 2014.
The cranes will be manufactured by Cargotec's offshore equipment manufacturing subsidiary, MacGregor.
