Damco undergoes managerial reshuffle

January 28 - During February, logistics provider Damco will relocate its head office from Copenhagen, Denmark to The Hague in the Netherlands. To coincide with the move, Damco has made a number of senior level management changes.

Steffen Schiottz-Christensen has been named ceo for Damco's Africa and Middle East region. Schiottz-Christensen will be based in Cape Town, South Africa, and will take over responsibility from Nils Havsager.

Havsager will take up his new position as global coo and will be based at the new head office at The Hague.

Peter Kjaer Jensen (pictured below) will transition from the role of global coo into that of global chief transformational officer, where he will be responsible for all of Damco's IT projects.

Global head of HR, Karsten Bruem (pictured below), will take over as ceo Asia Pacific from Tony Hotine, and will be based in Singapore.

Marco Mingoa has taken over Bruem's position effective January 1 and will operate from The Hague. Mingoa previously held the position head of HR operations within Danish shipping company, Maersk Line.
