August 21 - Third party-logistics provider Damco has been appointed by KONE as its global logistics partner for shipping elevators, escalators and spare parts to selected overseas destinations.
The third-party logistics provider said in a statement it will provide ocean freight and landside services for KONE, as demand for the company's products has increased globally.
"KONE selected Damco amongst others because of our past delivery performance and unique global account structure," said Damco global account director Rene Fjord. "Our expertise and global footprint fits KONE's requirements well and we have full confidence that through our partnership we can continuously assist KONE to increase the efficiency of its supply chain performance."
