Etihad Cargo has launched five additional routes using Etihad Airways passenger aircraft to increase the flow of essential supplies into the UAE and provide further east-west connectivity between major markets.

Using bellyhold capacity on a mix of Boeing 777 and B787 aircraft, Etihad Cargo has introduced services between Abu Dhabi (UAE) and Melbourne (Australia), Chennai, Kerala (India), Karachi (Pakistan), and Amsterdam (the Netherlands).

The carrier is already operating cargo-only flights using passenger jets to Seoul (South Korea), Beijing (China), Bangkok (Thailand), Singapore, Manila (the Philippines), Jakarta (Indonesia), Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore (India) and Riyadh (Saudia Arabia).

With these additional flights, Etihad Cargo will now operate more than 90 turnaround flights a week to 29 destinations in five continents.

Etihad Cargo has also operated a series of special charters to carry urgent consignments of medical supplies from mainland China and Hong Kong to destinations in Europe and the Americas.
