November 26 - Berard Transportation has said that its new HighwayMAX trailer from Faymonville is working well on a number of projects, due to its superior strength and capacity.

The HighwayMAX is an extendable on-road heavy haul trailer with nine hydraulically steered pendular axles and a technical payload of 260,000 lb (117 tonnes). It is compatible with regulations in the USA and Canada, allowing a maximum payload due to its adapted dimensions.

"We are capable of transporting concentrated loads that would typically be moved on conventional platform trailers with a much simpler arrangement," said Brett Berard, vice president of operations at Berard Transportation.

Another of the trailer's customers, Steve Sharp Transportation, is also pleased with the purchase.

"The operation of HighwayMAX is very driver friendly. The tare weight is good so that we can get an excellent payload. The maneuverability of the trailer is just unbelievable, how it follows the truck around a corner," said owner Steve Sharp.

The multi-axle trailer can be viewed and tested at the Faymonville's official US representative and sales agent, Hale Heavy Haul, which is located in Voorhees, New Jersey.
