November 16 - After 40 years in the industry, Port Freeport ceo Glenn Carlson has announced his decision to retire, with effect from March 15, 2016.

The Port Commission expressed its gratitude for Carlson's work as ceo and the long-term benefits the port will see as a result of that work. During Carlson's time as ceo, the port has experienced significant growth, including the adding of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) and Hoegh Autoliners as tenants.

Port Commission chairman Ravi Singhania, on behalf of the entire Port Commission, thanked Carlson for his commitment and diligence in growing Port Freeport, and expressed the gateway's appreciation for him extending the time of his retirement and assisting with the transition of a new ceo.
