May 24 - Friderici has transported a 248 tonne transformer between Corbeil-Essones and Bellville sur Loir.
The French freight forwarder Friderici used a Nicolas MDED modular platform trailer to shift the heavy transformer, which will be used in a nuclear power plant.
The 220 km route presented various obstacles including ground clearances of 0.05 m to 1.2 m and tight cornering angles.
At 8 m long, 4 m wide and 4 m in height, meticulous planning was required prior to transport to secure permits and identify the quickest route to the Bellville sur Loir jobsite.
The project was completed using the MDED platform trailers with 10 and 23 axle lines, as well as a side girder deck.
