June 2 - A 376.5-tonne generator stator, procured by BGR Energy Systems for a National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) project in India, is being transported from Mumbai port to Lara in the state of Chhattisgarh.

The transport, which covers around 1,445 km, is being coordinated by Allcargo Logistics. The generator stator is one of the heaviest units currently being moved in India, claims BGR Energy Systems.

Having been unloaded at Mumbai port, the cargo was loaded into a girder bridge and is currently being transported to the site using multiple trailer axles.

So far the unit has crossed the 44 m long bridge over the Bainganga river, which is one of the longest bridges on its route, said BGR Energy Systems.
