February 13 - Fairmount Marine's tug Fairmount Glacier has delivered the bulk carrier Cassiopeia Star to the port of Las Palmas in the Canary Islands.
Fairmount Glacier was contracted by Tsavliris Salvage to pick up the bulker when it began drifting with main engine problems during bad weather on the mid-Atlantic.
The tug towed the 173 m long and 32,328 dwt Cassiopeia Star, which was bound for Mexico loaded with barite in ore lumps, over a distance of 3,138 miles.
