December 10 - Tiong Woon Crane & Transport has taken delivery of five 300-tonne capacity Grove GMK6300L all terrain cranes in Singapore.

With this latest order, Tiong Woon now boats 18 Grove cranes in its fleet, all of which have arrived in the past seven years. The cranes are used on a variety of industrial and construction projects across the Southeast Asia region.

The five new cranes were purchased during the bauma China 2014 trade show in Shanghai at the end of November.

The six-axle Grove GMK6300L crane has an 80 m main boom, and also features Grove's MEGATRAK independent suspension, as well as all-wheel steer for easier navigation of job sites.

"When the Grove GMK6300L was launched in 2010 we could see that its onboard innovation gave it capabilities that other cranes didn't have, particularly with its 80 m boom," said Tiong Woon chairman Ang Kah Hong. "We watched the arrival of the first units in Asia with interest and quickly realised that this crane would be a great solution for many of our customers."
