June 19 - Jumbo Kinetic, the latest addition to Jumbo's fleet, has completed the transport of a variety of spot cargoes consisting out of multiple crane sections from Zhangzhou, China to Geoje, Korea.

The booking was well timed for both the client, Deugro Korea and Jumbo since Jumbo Kinetic had just finished a successful test lift of 3,000 tonnes in the same port where the crane sections were ready to be loaded.

Two consecutive voyages were executed; on the first voyage a crane house, slip ring and main hoist unit were transported. The second voyage was performed to transport the crane boom which was 117 m long, 24 m wide and weighed 462 tonnes.

All crane sections are needed for the Scylla wind turbine installation vessel which is being built at the Samsung Heavy Industry Yard in Geoje.

Currently, Jumbo Kinetic is in Batam, Indonesia about to load a 1,500-tonne module destined for Brazil, via Singapore.
