May 9 - Kerry Logistics Network has agreed to acquire the majority stake of the Tuvia Group's subsidiary, Tuvia Italia SpA, as part of the former's ongoing expansion in Europe.

Tuvia Italia SpA, which is headquartered in Milan and has offices in Verona, Venice, Trieste, and Nerviano, manages over 25,000 sq m of logistics facilities.

"We have been striving to build our presence in Italy over the years and we are glad to have Tuvia joining our global network. We will continue to strengthen our coverage in Europe to ensure we deliver comprehensive logistics services globally with local knowledge," said Thomas Blank, managing director of Europe, Kerry Logistics.

"Kerry Logistics' existing Italian client base will benefit from Tuvia's expertise and full range of services. We will further develop our offering in the region", he adds.

Tuvia Italia will be integrated into Kerry Logistics' European network and continue to be led by Alessandro Canese, managing director at Tuvia Italia.

Kerry Logistics, which has been growing its European footprint over the past six months, with acquisitions in Spain and Germany, and a new office in Warsaw, Poland, says the addition of Tuvia Italia supports its strategy of combining local know-how in the European region with a comprehensive footprint and infrastructure in Asia.

In addition to general freight forwarding, Tuvia has long experience in the logistics of large industrial project shipments, acquired while serving the most important companies in the oil and gas, heavy machinery and construction sectors.
