October 31 - Denmark's Mammoet Wind Brande has transported a 275-tonne nacelle on 30 axle lines of the InterCombi platform trailer combination from Scheuerle.
The nacelle, which had the dimensions 16.6 m x 6.5 m x 6.9 m, and the additional securing equipment that fixed the cargo into position were transported by road from Brande, Denmark to the port of Esbjerg.
Danish road regulations posed a problem for Mammoet since all bridges negotiated on the route could only be loaded with a maximum of 14 tonnes per axle.
Since the main load was distributed over a length of 3.2 m and the closely-spaced load points made the transport more difficult, Mammoet decided to use two 6 m high securing means for load distribution.
