December 7 - Maximus Air Cargo was a winner at the Aviation Business Awards 2010, held recently at Emirates Palace Hotel.

The cargo airline received awards for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme as well as the much coveted cargo operator of the year award (charter airline).

The Aviation Awards 2010 included a total of 15 categories in total, covering the airline, airport and cargo sectors, along with a variety of supporting niches. Since its inception in 2007, the Awards have emerged as a leading event for the Middle East aviation industry.

Maximus won the CSR award for its work with 'Care by Air' the UAE humanitarian initiative that it launched last year with Etihad and Abu Dhabi Airports Company as partners, which offers a sustainable business model which donates cargo space at cost to relief organisations, says the airline, adding that the Cargo Operator of the Year (charter) award reflects its commitment to customer service, its consistency in championing regional standards and establishing itself as a model for the region.
