August 5 - Nurminen Logistics is to open an office in Moscow on September 1, 2014, which will be headed up by Kauko Tanninen.

The new Russian office will focus on developing the company's project business, as well as Russia's internal railway traffic and railway traffic to and from China.

Tanninen, who has ten years of experience working in Moscow, will report to senior vice president of Nurminen's special transports and projects business unit, Hannu Vuorinen, and senior vice president of its railway logistics business, Fedor Larionov.

Elsewhere, in Finland, Pasi Kuusijärvi has been appointed Nurminen's sales manager for its special transports and projects business.

Kuusijärvi will start his new position on August 15 and be based in Helsinki. He will be responsible for the sales and development of Nurminen's project transport to Europe, Russia and its neighbouring regions.

He will also report to senior vice president of the special transports and projects business unit, Hannu Vuorinen.
