The new site has 10,500 sq m of handling and logistics space alongside 600 sq m of office space and is intended to act as a hub between Europe and the Near East, as well as a gateway into Central Asia. Located close to the airport, the hub offers direct links to through-roads around Tbilisi and there are plans for a connection to Georgia's expanding rail network.
 
The on-site portfolio includes overland transportation, air and sea freight, logistics solutions and project business.
 
"This branch will allow us to offer our customers improved access to the upcoming markets in the East," claimed Gebrüder Weiss board member, Wolfram Senger-Weiss.
 
Alongside the movement of commercially available goods between Europe and the Caucasus, Gebrüder Weiss is also carrying out numerous special and heavy transportation projects.
