July 17 - Effective August 21, NileDutch will offer a weekly service from South America to South and West Africa, based on a vessel sharing agreement (VSA) between CMA CGM and Hamburg Sud.

The service is an upgrade of NileDutch's existing fortnightly service from West Africa to South America.

It will call at the ports of Navegantes, Paranagua, Santos, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Durban, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town (South Africa), Luanda (Angola) and Pointe-Noire (Republic of Congo), before returning to Navegantes. Cargo from Buenos Aires and Rio Grande will be transported to the port of Santos by feeder vessels.

Luanda will act as NileDutch's hub for cargo to Lobito, Namibe, Cabinda, Soyo (Angola), Boma and Matadi (Democratic Republic of Congo). Pointe-Noire will serve as the hub for Douala (Cameroon), Libreville (Gabon), Bata and Malabo (Equatorial Guinea).

NileDutch will operate its 3,100 teu multipurpose vessel NileDutch Luanda as one of the six vessels on the South America - South Africa - West Africa rotation. The vessel, which currently operates in the line's Europe - West Africa trade, will be replaced in that service by NileDutch Breda (pictured below).

Three CMA CGM vessels and two Hamburg Sud vessels will also be deployed in the South America - South Africa - West Africa trade.
