December 17 - Transport and logistics provider, Toll Group, has agreed to the conditional acquisition of the business and assets of Nationwide Transport Solutions (NTS), growing its capabilities in the over-dimensional and heavy haulage sector.
Headquartered in Port Kembla in New South Wales, Australia, NTS services the over-dimensional and heavy haulage requirements of major infrastructure projects as well as the energy, alternative energy, and heavy industrial sectors.
The inclusion of NTS' business and assets into Toll Group's Australian logistics operations will allow the company to broaden its existing offering, which includes over-dimensional and heavy haulage services to the wind energy sector.
"Along with building on our existing activities, NTS provides us with the opportunity to drive strong growth such as in infrastructure projects," said Toll Group's contract logistics divisional general manager, Bruce Wilson.
