December 18 - Amarcon, a member of the ABB group and a leader in vessel motion prediction solutions, has received an order to install its Octopus-Onboard sensor motion measurement equipment on the Dockwise Vanguard.
The system will be used for the purpose of motion monitoring, response prediction and heavy-weather decision support during heavy cargo transportations performed by the vessel, which was was launched in November 2012 and is currently undergoing sea trials.
Dockwise Vanguard will also be equipped with a three sensor motion measurement set-up. This way multiple critical locations of the vessel, for instance the cargo, can be measured and displayed on the bridge of the vessel, says Amarcon.
