June 22 - UK based Osprey's barge Osprey Trader has transported a prototype steel jacket, weighing a total of 820 tonnes, from Antwerp, Belgium to Eemshaven in the Netherlands.
The 120 m high by 22 m wide jacket was shipped in three sections onboard Osprey Trader to Eemshaven, where the equipment was offloaded from the barge using a floating crane.
The prototype jacket was destined for use in 2-B Energy's offshore wind power development project in Eemshaven, which has been designed to lower the cost of energy production.
