Shodesh moves Rooppur cargoes

Shodesh Shipping & Logistic Company has acted as an agent in Mongla, Bangladesh for a shipment of nuclear power plant equipment from St. Petersburg, Russia.

The cargoes were destined for the Rooppur nuclear power plant project. The shipment included 307 packages, including heavy lift units, with a total weight of 3,038 tonnes.

The components arrived at Mongla port onboard the heavy lift vessels Baltic Winter and BBC Peru.

From the port, Shodesh used nine barges to transport equipment by river, and 187 trucks and trailers to move the cargoes by road to the project site.

According to Shodesh, this was the largest shipment delivered for the Rooppur nuclear power plant project so far.

Shodesh is a member of the WCA Projects network.
